I enjoyed looking at Blake's different colorings on his work on Tuesday. It was interesting to see his ability to manipulate the meaning of his poems by changing the coloring that would be experienced while reading the poem. I also liked how he did this with his wife, aww :)
I still feel like the " * * * * ** *" on page 188 at the bottom could symbolize footsteps... "and now I go - but go alone' ...walking... perhaps heavily away from the scene. How dramatic. I couldn't help but think about Thomas Middleton's "The Revenger's Tragedy" while we were talking about "The Giaour" today, and I found myself thinking that this poem would make for an entertaining and dramatic play. There are scene changes and a "tragic hero" and there is certainly enough action here to keep the audience interested.
